Professional Liability:
Through your actions or non-actions you cause "injury" to a third party during the course of your professional service. (What you do in your treatments.)

Commercial General Liability:
Bodily injury or property damage you cause to a third party, excluding professional liability. (Slip/trip claims, massage table collapsing etc.)

Aggregate Limit:
Total amount payable under that section of the policy in any one policy term.

Occurrence Form:
Claims are covered when they occur during the policy term, regardless of when they are reported. You stop paying for an occurrence policy when you stop practicing. You will still have coverage for when you WERE practicing.

Claims Made Form:
Claims are only covered if you report them during the policy term. If you stop practicing, you still have to keep paying for insurance every year in the event you are sued. Insurers may be reluctant to provide extended reporting for as long as you need it.

Deductible:
The amount you pay before the insurance company starts to pay.

Abuse:
Physical, sexual, emotional, or verbal abuse to a third party.

Legal Expense:
Reimbursement of legal expenses for representation for abuse claims. You must be found not guilty and be pleading not guilty.

Tenants Legal Liability:
Damage you may cause to premises you rent or occupy. This insurance applies to property damage caused by fire, explosion, smoke, or leakage from fire protective equipment to the rented premise. It does not cover your equipment.
